What optional analytics contains

First-party analytics uses random browser and session identifiers, landing path, referring domain, approved UTM values, allowlisted feature events, status and timing. When you are signed in, the server may attach a separate random account analytics subject after verifying the session, so aggregate account retention works across browsers. Google Analytics receives standard page, browser, device and acquisition data and may set its first-party _ga cookies. We do not use advertising pixels or device fingerprinting.

What is never sent to analytics

PGN content, FEN positions, moves, player names, file names, email, GM Coach prompts or responses, and payment details.

Purpose, retention and your rights

Optional analytics is processed only with your consent to improve activation, analysis reliability, feature usefulness and return visits. First-party raw events, including any random account analytics subject, are retained for up to 90 days; the account-to-subject mapping is removed when the account is deleted. Google Analytics follows the property's configured retention. You may withdraw consent here at any time. Withdrawal stops future collection immediately.

Service processing

Chess analysis requests, public-game searches sent to Lichess or Chess.com at your request, and short-lived security data are processed as necessary to provide and protect the service. They are not added to the product analytics database. Public-game responses may be held in a bounded in-memory cache for about five minutes. Poodle Chess is the controller for this pilot. Analytics consent can be withdrawn at any time in these settings.
